Wifi is free – there is a ticket system which will be provided with your bedroom key.
For delegates not staying overnight in College, please obtain your wifi ticket from the registration desk or the Porters’ Lodge.
Churchill College is fully accessible by wheelchair to all public areas. If you have any access requirements, specifically in the auditorium, please inform the organising team at the registration desk or to a member of the staff at Churchill College.
Admission to conference sessions is strictly by badge only. Please ensure you are seated before the start of the scientific sessions and that any phones or electronic devices are turned off or silent.
Please ensure that your name badge is clearly visible at all times. If you lose your badge, please inform the organising team at the registration desk to request a replacement. We would be grateful if you could return your badge to the registration desk at the end of the conference for recycling.
Toilets are accessed from the main Concourse and from the Wolfson Foyer just outside main lecture theatre
Churchill College is a non-smoking site and, as such, smoking is not permitted in any meeting room, bedroom or public area. Delegates may smoke outside; cigarette bins are provided outside the west door leading to North Court from the Buttery and in each of the residential courtyards (except Cowan Court).
All the Porters are trained First Aiders and should be the first port of call should anyone become unwell or be involved in an accident. Any request for an ambulance should be made by the Porters. Their telephone number is 01223 336000.
There are four laundry rooms on site, one on each of Cowan, East, North and South Courts.
These are card operated with cards available at the Porters’ Lodge for £4.40 and £10.00. A refundable deposit of £10.00 is also required. Open daily: 07:00 – 22:00. There are irons in the laundries in Cowan, East and North Courts which delegates are welcome to use. Irons are also available, for a £5 refundable deposit, from the Housekeeping Department.
Tea & coffee making facilities are provided in all rooms.
Hairdryers are available for a £5 refundable deposit from the Porters’ Lodge (deluxe rooms have their own hairdryers).
There are squash courts, tennis courts and the College gym located on site which delegates are welcome to use, subject to availability. Keys and racquets are available with a refundable deposit from the Porters who also handle bookings for these facilities. Delegates will be required to complete a competency declaration for the gym.
