Professor Jan Roser studied and actively researched reproductive endocrinology in the mare and stallion as a faculty member of The Department of Animal Science in The University of Davis, California for 29 years before she retired in 2015. During her busy and illustrious career. She supervised 38 graduate students and published over 120 scientific papers.
Dr Roser has attended every ISER Symposium since the second one held at Davis in 1978 and she served on the ISER International Organising Committee during 1992 to 2006. She also initiated in 2000, and has chaired since then, the West Coast Equine Reproduction Symposia held in Solvang, California every 4 years, the proceeds from which she has donated to provide invaluable financial support for the staging of each following ISER Symposium.
